Glowing reviews don’t just happen—they’re earned through an incredible client experience. As a bridal beauty pro, it’s not just about delivering flawless hair and makeup. It’s about how you communicate, how you guide your brides through the process, and how you make them feel from the first inquiry to the final touch-up.
If you’re struggling to collect those raving five-star reviews, it’s time to refine your approach.
In this blog, I’m sharing actionable strategies to get your client experience up to scratch and get the kind of feedback that keeps your inbox full of dream brides.

1. Set Up an Automated Client Experience
Your backend matters—and if it’s a mess, your brides WILL notice. A well-organized, automated workflow makes all the difference.
Here’s how to create a luxury-level client experience:
- Use a CRM to streamline inquiries, contracts, & payments (I swear by 17hats!)
- Send a detailed welcome guide so brides feel taken care of from day one.
- Provide a beauty prep guide—eliminate last-minute confusion & stress.
- Have a solid, legally-sound contract (no DIY disasters here!)
- Automate your workflow so you’re never scrambling.

2. Optimize Your Website
Your website = your digital storefront. If it’s clunky, unclear, or nonexistent, brides will bounce.
- Keep it clean, easy to navigate & packed with essential info.
- Your site should answer all the FAQs a bride has about pricing, services & booking.
- Social media is NOT a replacement for a website—own your online real estate!
- Add a clear contact form with office hours & response times to set expectations.

3. Provide Detailed Information & Guides
Knowledge = confidence! Brides love clear, proactive communication (aka fewer panicked DMs). Set them up for success with:
- A welcome guide upon booking.
- A beauty prep guide to ensure smooth sailing on the wedding day.
- A quick-response system for handling FAQs efficiently.
4. Create an Exceptional Hair and Makeup Preview Experience
The preview (or trial) session isn’t just a makeup test—it’s a trust-building moment!
Go the extra mile:
- Have brides fill out detailed questionnaires (not just basic stuff—get into their vibe!)
- Automate a follow-up email within 24 hours asking for feedback.
- Use a preview tracker to document their feedback, photos & product list.
- Reiterate changes on the wedding day to show you’re truly listening.
Also just to note; If your client responds with no feedback, then you can email them back thanking them for responding and that you cannot wait to see them! If they do have changes/feedback, then you can email them back letting them know you’ve made notes of the changes and that you’re excited to implement the updates on the wedding day.
I always recommend using a preview tracker of some sort to keep track of your brides preview questionnaire, notes/feedback, before and after photo, product list, etc.
5. Offer Thorough Consults & Touch-Ups
Your service doesn’t stop at the bride—how you treat the bridal party matters too!
- Give every client a mini consult so they feel heard & valued.
- Offer final touch-ups before leaving to impress & enhance the experience.
- Remember: a happy bridal party = more referrals!
6. Conduct a Post-Wedding Survey
The golden rule of reviews? ASK FOR THEM! Brides get busy, so don’t assume they’ll leave one unless you prompt them.
- Send a short & sweet survey 3 days post-wedding (automate this step!)
- Keep it 5 questions max with an optional comment box.
- Positive responses? Follow up & ask them to copy/paste their feedback into a review.

7. Ask Bridal Party Members for Reviews Too!
Bridal party members can be amazing sources of referrals & reviews—don’t overlook them!
1. If you collect their info pre-wedding, follow up post-event.
2. Use consent forms to gather contact details before the wedding day.
3. Email them a thank-you with a gentle nudge to leave a review.
We collect bridal party member info through our required consent forms (everyone fills this out before we come on-site). We do this mainly through Google sheets and Flodesk (the best email marketing platform in my opinion, try it for a year at 50% off with code “bridalbabe”).
Create an Experience Brides RAVE About!
Providing an exceptional client journey from start to finish is what sets you apart. The more seamless, stress-free & luxurious you make it, the more brides will shout your name from the rooftops (aka, leave glowing reviews!).
